It can read music files from a device local storage or network sources (SMB/CIFS, UPnP/DLNA, FTP, WebDAV) and send audio either to headphones, or directly to USB DAC, or to UPnP/DLNA, or Chromecast renderer without a format limitation and with all DSP effects applied - do not miss this unique functionality!

NETWORK

Network features with limited functionality (due to OS limitation Neutron's UI must be active and screen must stay switched on to have network active):

* Streaming audio (plays Internet radio streams, Icecast). * Network music sources: - SMB/CIFS network device (NAS or PC, Samba shares); - UPnP/DLNA media server; - FTP server; - WebDAV server. * UPnP/DLNA Media Renderer server (gapless, DSP effects). * Output to Chromecast (up to 24-bit, 192 kHz, no limit for a format or DSP effects). * Output to UPnP/DLNA Media Renderer (up to 24-bit, 768 kHz, no limit for a format or DSP effects).

!!! Please note that network functionality limitation is due to OS until it starts supporting network connectivity in background !!!

ATTENTION:

Due to Windows 10 Mobile OS limitations Neutron is missing some features: - system volume management from Neutron's UI; - headset media buttons do not fully work (only next/prev); - all network related features are limited (see NETWORK section).

These limitations will be eliminated once bugs are fixed in the OS or new APIs are provided to the developers.
