Audio Recorder Pro

As a solo recording artist, a while back I began using the iPhone as my main recording device, as it was always handy, and the quality was good enough for a traditional folk sound. When I switched to the Windows format a month ago--I use a Nokia Lumia Icon, which I love--I took a loss as I could no longer record with my most handy device due to no apps for recording that worth a ****. Today I found this app and am super elated that I can record using my phone once again--the quality is perfect (far better than the iPhone 4s and 5s) and the ability to upload a track to an editing program on my laptop is there. It would be nice if there was some in app editing options, and the ability to sync with soundcloud, but regardless, this is the best recording app currently available on the Windows Phone platform.

I don't know what you've done to optimize the microphones on the Lumia 920, but the quality of sound is remarkable. Truly... Surprising! You might want to tweak the ease of portability of the files. It seems that I can only share files immediately after creating them. Once they are saved, there seems to be no "share" option from the library screen, only play, rename, and delete. Likely I'll use a cable to transfer the files anyway, as they are large when recorded in 44.1k WAV, But it would be nice to share the compressed files more readily from the library, as it would be handy as a voice recorder then. Well done! I wouldn't have believed this clarity of sound was possible. It's good enough for capturing song ideas and basic field recording. It's a simple app, but a good one.

Finally, an audio recorder that allows me to use the camera mic! For that alone, you get 5 stars.
