Description
Finally, an efficient blocker. Easy on CPU and memory. IMPORTANT: uBlock Origin is completely unrelated to the site "ublock.org".
***
An efficient blocker: easy on memory and CPU footprint, and yet can load and enforce thousands more filters than other popular blockers out there.
Usage: The big power button in the popup is to permanently disable/enable uBlock Origin for the current web site. It applies to the current web site only, it is not a global power button.
***
Flexible, it's more than an "ad blocker": it can also read and create filters from hosts files.
Out of the box, these lists of filters are loaded and enforced:
- EasyList - Peter Lowe’s Ad server list - EasyPrivacy - Malware domains
More lists are available for you to select if you wish:
- Fanboy’s Enhanced Tracking List - Dan Pollock’s hosts file - hpHosts’s Ad and tracking servers - MVPS HOSTS - Spam404 - And many others
Of course, the more filters enabled, the higher the memory footprint. Yet, even after adding Fanboy's two extra lists, hpHosts’s Ad and tracking servers, uBlock Origin still has a lower memory footprint than other very popular blockers out there.
Also, be aware that selecting some of these extra lists may lead to higher likelihood of web site breakage -- especially those lists which are normally used as hosts file.
***
Free. Open source with public license (GPLv3) For users by users.
If ever you really do want to contribute something, think about the people working hard to maintain the filter lists you are using, which were made available to use by all for free.

Must have for safe browsing by Ed
Blocks ads, which blocks Viruses, which keeps Grandma from infecting her PC for the 20th time and paying fake tech scammers to infect her PC for $100. It's as important as an AV scanner these days.

Was working great by Blake
Gets rid of most of the annoying adds. Works really well on the Edge browser. for uBlock and one* for Windows Store. used to eliminate self loading videos. This app needs a little more work now. Hope you guys are listening. -1* now

Works GREAT!, but... by D.
...the first time this extension is installed (tested at the time using Windows 10 Pro v1703 (OS Build 1506.138) AND turned on, it seems as if it does not work. Once the the edge browser is closed (I recommend using the Task Manager), and then reopened...it functions exactly like the chrome extension (thanks Mr. Nik Rolls for forking this over from gorhill/uBlock)

Finally Fixed by Ayush
Update: The new creators update fixed it. Thank You for your response. This adblock doesn't make my Edge go nuts like AdBlock Plus and Adguard does which is a good thing. Recommended.

Blocks ads without bring down the performance by Adam
I used it for a while Windows 10 AU, but there were defects with page loading and pages getting downloaded instead of being displayed. Windows 10 CU addressed those issues and now I'm back baby! Edge flies and Firefox crashes.

Unbeatable by King
This really gives Edge the ed.. ahem never mind. Without this extension any browser is almost unusable. While the pre-alpha version worked alright the fact that it had to be sideloaded probably made it slightly inaccessible to average users. Thus it's great to see it in the store, especially for the store itself as quality devs are rare.

Causes website loading problems by Peter
Navigating to specific websites causes Edge to attempt to download it. Pages I know so far that do this are Tom's Guide, GSMArena and Android Central. Otherwise, it's good.
