Works sometimes... by TERDfergusun69
Live streaming is usually good, unless it's a popular show during peak hours. On Demand is hit or miss. Some shows/movies either won't play at all, or lag the entire time you're viewing On Demand. Restarting the app and XBOX does nothing to remedy this. If not for the unreliable stream quality, this would be fantastic.

Mixed feelings by John
I love the idea of Sling. I do watch all the time and it has allowed me to disconnect from cable entirely which is a great thing. However, the service of the network is sub par at best. It's slow and constantly lags. The video often cuts out and I have to refresh to get it to play once again. I use a bunch of different platforms and NEVER have this problem on Amazon, Netflix of Hulu!

Just about perfect by A New World Man
I initially gave Sling tv just two stars about two-three months ago, and skewered it in my review because I could not get it to reliably work while watching ESPN. But I committed to three months (got a free Roku with three month commitment) and stuck with the service. Since that initial review, it has dramatically improved. Sling was so good going into New Years Eve, that I had people over to watch the NCAA playoff football games. So the pressure was on, right? And it worked perfectly. Well, there were just a couple moments, like twice, when the quality dropped for about 5-10 seconds, but then it was back to HD. Or at least it looked like HD. So, that means I am keeping it. Sling TV is an excellent antidote to expensive and bloated cable. I just cut the cord and now use an antenna, which I tied into my cable box to route digital video to all tvs, and sling tv.

Works great! by David
Cut my $153/month cable bill, now just use sling and save almost $100/month. I especially like the ability on some channels to go back in time. Has all the channels that I mostly tend to watch. Only complaint I have is that it doesn't have a real "guide" that displays all the channels in a grid format. The tabs available are sufficient but I miss have a grid type format like you find on many cable providers. Have been using sling on a daily basis now for over a month and have never had a problem, obviously though this will be largely dependent on your internet provider.

We Cut the Cord with Cable by Teri
When we recently moved, we decided to go with just a high speed internet connection, and drop our Cable TV and go with Roku and Sling instead. It's been almost 6 months and we haven't missed cable at all (and certainly don't mind dropping our bill in half). Between Sling, Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube, we have everything we need or want to watch. Will never go back. My favorite thing about Sling is the "a la carte" feature. As a tennis fan, I subscribe to ESPN only for the weeks that the major tournaments are on, and can cancel it when it's over.
