Comparing Navigon to Nokia Drive, Navigon's interface is archaic and needs a major overhaul, especially the search. The maps in Navigon apparently use Here maps, but the graphical maps in Navigon are soft, not optimized for HD like Nokia Drive. However, Navigon's major advantage over Nokia is the multiple route choices, arguably better routing, and most important for me, accurate and clear lane guidance, essential in the increasingly expensive toll roads and bridges of New York and Jersey cities. In a perfect world, I wish for Nokia Drive's interface and map renderings, with Navigon's routing logic and choices and its excellent lane guidance.

Almost perfect. It just really needs the ability to give directions over the higher priority Bluetooth headset profile like HERE Drive and CoPilot does. Sometimes I prefer to listen to my car's radio and I can't get directions anymore since Navigon only uses the music profile. This would make it five stars in my books. Add background navigation and it would be icing on the cake!

I have used Navigon on iOS and Android before and it is a great app on those platforms. While the Windows Phone version of Navigon has same functionality and maps, it is also sometimes unstable and buggy (although I have only used it for a week). This is the only app that has ever made my Lumia 920 restart in the middle of using it (I will need to use it a few more times to make sure this was one off behavior and does not happen more frequently). On the positive side, the excellent traffic update and re-routing saved me 20+ minutes on the way to the airport this morning and that in itself is worth the money I paid for the app! Also it runs under lock screen now (look for the option in settings of the app) and that is a big plus as well. I usually turn off the display using power button and it keeps giving me spoken directions. Remove the bugs/improve stability and this will be a 5-star app.

Very pleased. This app has completely replaced my standalone GPS. Accurate directions, clear voice directions. My only complaints are: 1. that it doesn't fully integrate with native apps like web browser, email, contacts, etc. Can use those with Bing maps as intermediate step, but requires data connection to do so accurately. 2. Would like to be able to see the directions in a list. Still the best offline app available, and I appreciate the up-front pricing (even if expensive).

Has rendering issues on map when exceeding 25 miles per hour, give or take. Parts of the map show rectangles and squares hiding the map as I drive, very annoying. Search gives you a long list to scroll through and will not just give me results that I am searching for. If I search for say Subway it will show me the closest subway and then a bunch of other options, completely unrelated. If I search for Subway I would like to see all of Subway's locations near me without having to scroll through a bunch of **** to find the one I am looking for. The UI is cumbersome to use, I would like to see some improvements. I am running it on a Lumia 1520 so you would think I should be able to run it without a issue (Ballsy Hardware). App needs some optimization. I do like the app and I hope it is improved over time. None of the issues I have with it are deal breakers but minor annoyances. If the app is updated and at least just runs smoother I will revisit my 3 star rating.

This would be a great app if it didn't drain battery *so* fast (on my HTC 8x, can't use app more than 1h, even when starting fully charged). The 8/9/2013 update erased all of "my destinations", without warning and without asking This $50 app is a complete ripoff. In comparison, Nokia Here may be less feature-packed, but it's free (including map updates) and doesn't drain battery so much.
