Misfit

Misfit needs to decide if they are going to support Windows Phone users or not so I can just switch to a Microsoft Band. 11/24 update: App no longer tries to update firmware all the time. Syncing doesn't work reliably. I went for a run, double tap Shine device and it lights up showing that I met my goal for the day. About an hour later, I sync to the WP app and it only shows I'm at 20% of my goal an erased my progress on the Shine device. Sleep monitoring does not work at all. If they could just get these 2 basic functions working then I would be happy. Time to dump the app and device - which is too bad, because the device itself is quite nice.

UPDATE: I dont know what magical changes people are seeing by flashing other than my clock now works. Sleep does not work nor is sleep history showing in the app. Dropping my rating, again, another week, and still no response. ... No response at all from support. So this took some pains to work with my Lumia 1020. Make sure nfc is on, you have the Lumia Cyan update, and once in the Bluetooth settings, WAIT for it to say Shine vs Accessory. Then tap to pair. The app would exit a couple times but finally paired. Trying to enable clock on the device is visible in the app but nothing I tried made the Shine show me the time. Same with my wife's on a different phone. Sync worked well with exercise data, no sleep data at all. Social worked, but don't see any "find friends on facebook" feature. Shine looks great, app is barely working. Just communicate Misfit, and tell us you are aware of the issues and working on it. I am about to return mine.

Let's be honest - this app does not work as claimed. As poorly as it worked before the November update - it works even worse now, Buggy is an understatement. Can anyone using it on WP8.1 Cyan document that it works smoothly and as advertised - that is - with all the "features" listed in the description on this very page? I don't think so. Yes the Shine's hardware looks cool but how many of us would have bought a competing product i.e. Fitbit if we hadn't fallen for the exaggerated claim of this app's Windows functionality? Many I think. I think it's time for Misfit Wearables Corp to give us some straight talk as to when or if we will get an product that works as advertised. I for one am still trying to decide whether to hold out for an update that works or just return my Shine for a full refund.

Can't sync, connect to my phone. Flash won't track activity. Already went to store to replace and give another try before returning it for food.

The Misfit Flash is great...when you can sync it. When I had windows 8.1, 60% of the time was able to sync my flash with this app. Occasionally, even though my flash would say I did all of my points for the day, none of my steps would sync (it would say 0 steps or sleep, even if the sync was successful). Eventually, I learned how to reset the app at specific times of the syncing process to get it to display my data. Now that I have Windows 10, NOTHING WORKS. I can never get it to sync, as it always fails. After first installing the app, it synced like once or twice, but nothing was recorded. And now, it never syncs. This app is GARBAGE. It barely worked on Windows 8.1, and now doesn't work at all on Windows 10. I recommend making sure the product works with your phone before having to rely on such a poorly designed app. The developers could update the app to fix these issues, but I have never received an update in the 6 months of having this app.Obviously, they don't care!!

Every time I try to sign in with my Facebook, or enter in my physical info, it crashes.
