Dolby Access

I love that you get a surround sound like atmosphere with any headset without having to by the pricey $350 headsets just to enjoy surround sound and even more so with the sound system part of the app. The rich sounds off everything around you can be heard so clearly its amazing. I'm a gamer, and with the dolby atmos app it definitely adds that extra immersive quality and advantage to my gaming experience. I have noticed however the surround sound app for headsets do differ from one headset to another, for example the surround sound and bass quality are much more apparent on my astro A40's than it is with my turtle beach XO one. Other than that the app is amazingly awesome.

DOWNLOADING THIS APP WILL TRANSFORM THE WAY YOU EXPERIENCE VIDEO GAMES FOREVER! ALL YOU NEED IS A PAIR OF STEREO HEADPHONES. ANY PAIR WILL WORK whether you have some crappy old pair that cost you $5 back in 1991, or some elite 7.1 surround sound gaming headphones, ALL YOU NEED TO DO is install this app, launch it and select"headphones" as your preferred listening device, then you have the option to use a 5 day FREE TRIAL, or pay $14.99 and transform the way you experience sound forever. after downloading the dolby atmos for headphones in this app, MAKE SURE TO HIT: guide button>settings>display&sound>audio output>and on the right choose Dolby Atmos. 1st demand should be making it a one time payment no subscription. 2nd Demand should be making it to where you can modify or tune the way you want to hear things ; an example could be spotify for iphone where there is an equalizer with a range of options to choose from which would be genuinely worth my purchase. I would generally love to recommend this app for a few people but i highly doubt they would want to purchase this. Overall this app has alot of potential capable of big things. If it manages very well i suppose i could give it another review.

Okay I'm going to get this out of the way. Yes, Atmos costs $15. but I'm reviewing the app, not the price. First. it works fairly well. granted it's only virtual surround sound, not the real deal. Second, is a common misconception. THIS APP DOES NOT MAKE NORMAL SPEAKER SURROUND!!! Surround sound isn't just created. whether it be a movie, TV show, video game, or other it is intentionally created by audio engineers to get the audio you hear in a theater, so it will only work well with applications and videos that were designed to use Atmos. but, overall, it works fairly well, and in my opinion is worth the $15 dollars. but due to the nature of the application versus the price, I'm only going to give it 4 stars. Will turn any headphone into Dolby Surround sound (they suggest that you turn any DOLBY off on any headphones/headsets you're using). Just listen to the sound demos, it makes my Astro A40 TR & my Turtle Beach 800X sound even better. Highly Recommend, especially if you're an audiophile like me!!
