Texture's Win 10 app is being abandoned by Peter
I have enjoyed using this app on Windows 10. The Kindle Fire app has more functionality, but Win 10 has been OK. A month ago, I found I was unable to download a magazine (Nat Geographic History). I received this response from Alex at Texture support: "I apologize, we do not currently have plans to add new titles to the existing Windows app. If you are unable to open any issues or titles then these will unfortunately be unavailable at this time. However we are planning on developing new and different ways for Windows customers to access Texture, please check back periodically for new options available for Windows users as they are developed."

Wore than ever by Jim
This app works great on Android, but horrible on Surface. It should be easy to write for Windows Phone, but for some reason, the programmers don't want to. The app is slow, buggy, won't download magazines unless I restart the app two or three times, etc. Once it loads, it works well. I just spent my entire one-hour lunch looking at "Preparing issue". Good thing I could read e-mail on my Surface because I certainly couldn't read any magazines. Why is there no tech support? Why doesn't anyone ever appear with a fix or even a response? It worked pretty well for awhile, now it's crappy again. Down to one star!!.

A great service with a terrible app by Andrew
Using this app is an exercise in pain, patience, and crashing. It takes far too many attempts to get an issue open. God forbid I rotate the screen: that will crash the app. The tragedy of it is that I like the service and the content. But because it's so difficult and so painful to use this app, I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on a subscription.

Better! but still hangs up and need reinstall often by Andrew
Make certain that this app is selected to "run in the background" for saving Issues to work correctly. Some users may turn this option off to save battery power - but if it's left OFF - the app will not work. Overall working ok. Seems to be slow, maybe a bit buggy when moving from one app to another then back to this app. I get a black screen sometimes. Good magazines for the money.

Windows 10 app stinks ! by Molle
How on earth do I use my subscription with windows 10? This is so frustrating that there is almost no information on what to do, how to use, or ANYTHING, regarding windows 10. I have literally wasted about 90 minutes today searching for info and trying to look at a magazine. There's no way to get into the app. If the app is not compatible with windows 10, why is it available in the Windows Store for download with 10 ? I finally found one little sentence at the end of the Help section that says there will be an improvement for 10 by the end of the year. Ok, when ? Should I cancel my subscription until then ? Should I request a refund for the months since I've had 10 ? At one point, I had figured out a way to look at magazines by going through the website. I couldn't find a way to do that today. Is there a way I can use my subscription until you guys figure out how to integrate with 10 ? This just really, really stinks. Please Next Issue/ Texture look at all the 1 star reviews !

Great Content - Lousy App by Douglas
The concept and content is great but the app is buggy, not intuitive and cumbersome. Really badly written and should be completely rewritten with a clean easy to understand and use interface.

App doesn't work on Windows 10! by Kara
So frustrating beyond belief. The app on Windows 10 does nothing but install. Then when I open it, there is only a screen of magazine issues. I had a subscription a year ago and then I cancelled it because I could never open the app. I thought a year later, Texture/Next Issue would open their eyes, read the horrible reviews and fix the problems. The concept of dozens of digital magazines at your fingertips is wonderful; the app is not. I am able to use the app with no problems on my IPhone 6; however, it uses too much of my data usage to download a magazine and I would also prefer to read the magazine issues on my laptop, where the screen is larger. I signed up for the free week trial but reconsidering after it expires. $15 per month is a great deal, but not if I can't read my magazines on my laptop! Texture/Next Issue, PLEASE read these reviews and do something!!

Maybe the worst app ever` by charles
I have to use my obsolete IPAD as this app does not work for Surface Tablets. It yields an 'error' message any time you attempt to download a magazine.
