Streaming is pure garbage by Kevin

I stream several major sports via my laptop (NBA League Pass, MLBTV, NHL Center Ice) and I do not have any issues with picture quality, buffering, technical issues, etc. The Sunday ticket streaming was absolute garbage today. The picture was so blurry throughout, you could not read the clock, make out specific players. , or even make out the ball on passes and kicks. On SIX different occasions during the game, the app closed itself and would not allow me to sign back in for 5-10 minutes. This is thievery at its finest from DirecTV and I will be contacting the BBB about it tomorrow.

    by Chris

I hope you bring the app to Windows 8.1 as well. Also how about updating the horrible, ancient DirecTV Windows Phone 7 app? [Update] just saw the Windows 8.1 app, and this is a Universal app. Nice!

Worst $200 ever spent by Rich

I work at a video game company on the weekends... We have ridiculous bandwidth that people only dream about. Trying to watch the games on this...I feel like I'm on a 9600 baud modem from the late 80s. The quality of the games is grainier than a sandy beach. I should expect that for $200, I would be able to enjoy this in 1080p, but no, not even remotely close. I think I'd be better off looking up a live stream and watching the game illegally...at least the picture quality would be good. This has served to remind me once again why I use cable and not Direct TV.

Service dramatically improved week 3. by anthony

The first two weeks were unwatchable, however, it looks as though DirecTv has improved their stream, answering a lot of the issues that were addressed by the customers. I will update if I experience any future issues, but as for now I can recommend this app and service again. When the video feed is working properly, the picture is fantastic, even on a 55 inch screen.

Video quality is inconsistent by Matt

My internet connection is great, but for some reason the video quality is very spotty. Sometimes it's fine and at other points it freezes, drops to low quality, or lags or plays too fast. Seems like the developers could fix some of these buffering issues.

Good but crashes too much! by Damien

I like this app but I wish it would not crash so much. I used it for the first time last weekend and it crashed multiple times. I have high speed internet and the same app on my iPhone works better. If you could get the kinks out, it would be great!
