Mango is the internal code name for the Windows Phone 7.1 release, and of course the name of a delicious tropical fruit. There are many ways you can use mangoes – for example, in pies, in salads, and in a range of cocktails. The mango is also said to provide a number of health benefits, and has an interesting cultural history. Mangolicious is a Windows Phone 7.1 (Mango) application about mangoes. The application provides detailed – and thoroughly tested – mango food recipes and cocktails. It also offers a range of interesting mango facts, and there’s even a very simple mango game! That said, the driving force in developing this app was to explore some of the big new features in the 7.1 release – specifically, Local Database and LINQ2SQL, Secondary Tiles and Deep Linking, and Silverlight/XNA Integration.
