A better Gears, at a higher cost. by A Raid Boss
If you hated the "Call of Duty" direction that Judgment tried to go, then Gears 4 gameplay-wise is a miracle. The Coalition understands that Gears 3 was the perfect formula, and has created a new game in it's style for the xbox one. The campaign is solid, about 7 and a half hours long, with a good amount of fanservice. Multiplayer has 8 modes, 2 of them being brand new, and all of them play well. Horde is thankfully back, with rpg style classes you can level up. Unfortunately, Gears 4 has such a lack of enemy variety that horde gets repetitive surprisingly fast. Despite being enjoyable, Gears 4 is hurt by it's steep, cutthroat microtransactions. The currency earned per match is so small you have to choose between leveling up at a reasonable rate and unlocking characters, and you're meant to use money to cover the other. ALL characters are purple rarity, that way you're likely to get cheap weapon skins. You'll get 60$ out of Gears 4, but keep a close hand on your wallet. It's hungry.

Gears on Pc by Tony
I played Gears 4 on Xbox one and I loved it from the campaign to the multiplayer to horde but once my 103Gb install was complete for the windows store(I had lots of errors occurring causing complete re installs) I fell in love with Gears again the game just looks superb on the pc on ultra detail loads are quicker, barely any pop ins, very detail graphic settings, awesome and detailed benchmark. I have a i5 6600k and Zotac 1070 amp extreme and I'm getting a little over 100fps on a 3440x1440p res and yes it does support 21x9. Field of view is there as well, I haven't messed with key bindings yet but will do(sprint is the spacebar). The community is there and lively(US west) as well I'm able to join matches quick just like if I was playing on my Xbox one and cross ranked is in. Good Job Coalition this is one of the best ports I've encountered and definitely one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen to date.

well worth the wait......thanks coalition by GoThIcM3rCy
gears 4 is a sumpremely polished game....firstly it really shows what the unreal engine can do with progressive and proactive weather. real time colour glowing reflecting similar to the snowdrop engine....and an amazing amount of explosions and partical effects onscreen whilst keeping that rock solid framerate. the combat is familiar. some say they played it safe. i say if it aint broke....dont fix it......i loved the campaign. ok a little short but still a blast to play through numerous times.....and split screen and coop adds to it....mp is still right up there with the best......very polished.....very awesome.....very gears.....welcome back
