Description

SouthernTouch Spades is a fun and convenient take on the familiar card game. SouthernTouch Spades provides impressive artificial intelligence (AI) for an entertaining challenge without any of the delays associated with multi-player interactions. Our AI understands the concept of teamwork, and your digital partner will play cooperatively. Recent updates include less aggressive AI bidding and smarter play from your teammate when you bid nil. Also, sound, a new card set, a game speed selector, better card spacing, the option to hide the deal, an easier to use bid screen, and new backgrounds. The latest update includes various bug fixes and comprehensive game statistics. An issue with the 10 bag penalty has also been corrected.

I love Spades, and this version is mostly fun, but I have several big issues with it. 1)The computer always plays against your hand, rather than minding their own. This makes the game more predictable and less fun. 2) You don't have the option to play cut-throat style and the computer partner often holds you back. 3) The game messes up sometimes. When you play a King (same suit) on top of an Ace, it sometimes gives YOU the stack. This is problematic if you're trying for a nil hand. 4) Your computer opponents sometimes bet in the negative... How is that possible? Seems like a programming glitch to me. Other than that, it's easy to use and fun to play.

This is my favorite game. One of the things I like about it is, you can play a couple hands, quit, then go back and finish the game later.
