Life Journal - Private, Secure Diary

I have been journaling with Day One for a long time and wanted a journal app on Windows. Life Journal has a very well thought out UI and looks spectacular (especially on my Surface Pro). All the key functionality that I need is there including photo attachment, tag management, location and weather tagging, journal templates (and editor!), powerful search and sync with both Dropbox and Day One. And all of this is laid out on the screen in an intuitive and non-intrusive manner so I can focus on writing. Support has been very responsive and have provided quick resolution to any questions I have had so far. I love that the app secures data not only using a password but with strong encryption (but data synced to Day One is unencrypted due to Day One requirements). I understand that mobile versions of the app are coming soon and I intend to move over from Day One on iOS when that happens. The app is simply beautiful and I could not recommend this app more highly!

Overall, the app does what it is supposed to. The fact that I can save to Dropbox is also an excellent feature; however, there is a slight lag when creating new entries, and adding keywords. Second, Pictures are lost from entries when the theme whenever I change to another theme, and the location service will not always work. Regardless, of the bugs, it is still a decent piece of software.

Worked with support and my technical support to see if it would work. Every time I turn on sync the app won't open. I can't figure out how to get refund from the store. I don't think I'll ever buy anything again if they don't give a refund.
