Gaming Union 9/10 Beyond the thirteen gates at the end of the world, the game of life and death is played. Draw your cards, play your hand, and discover your fate. Hand of Fate is a hybrid roguelike/action-RPG/deck builder, in which the player builds a set of cards into a deck, which is then used to deal out the dungeon floors through which they adventure. Upon entering a combat, all of the cards the player has collected fly into their hands as fully modeled 3D assets, and combat begins.

Nothing I ever expected by Jelani
Honestly when I bought the game I thought it was going to be just another fighting adventure game, but I was sorely wrong. This game blends together elements of an action game like batman arkham asylum with a card game like spades. Try it out if your looking for something unique to play.

Would be a 5 if not for 2 issues... by Justin
Great game all around, somewhat flawed experience thanks to some minor problems. First off- After 10-15 minutes of play, certain cards and enemies will "Black out" and not be visible anymore causing me to have to close out and open again for it to be temporarily resolved. Still playable when this happens, but it gets annoying real quick. Second- The lag can kill, literally. I play it at the lowest framerate and I still get the occasional fit of lag induced slow-mo that only seems to effect my characters actions and not the enemy's, which when it catches up will have landed 3 or 4 hits on me. With that said, this game is great. Original formula that is very addictive, and if they address these problems will prove to be a must try for any RPG or D&D fan.

not to far into the game as of yet but I must say I really love this game. I hope they come up with more like this one.

Truly unique! by Daniel
If you're bored of the run-of-the-mill, hack-and-slash RPGs, then this is like a breath of fresh air. Great storytelling!

12 bucks and minutes never retrieved by T
Graphics are cool. Controls make it nigh unplayable. They don't appear to actually correlate to any particular direction. It's like the character is blind drunk. Pass. Don't know what all the rave is about. Perhaps it is just too laggy.
