Really fun, but get the trial first by DWF Phantom
The combat is difficult but exciting, I haven't seen anything of the story. The difficulty can scale dramatically, going from a few easy pirates to an alien corvette, but you do not have to fight them, and it shouldn't be a problem if you don't progress too quickly. If you fight things you know you can handle, and upgrade often, then you should enjoy your time, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Quality and Challenging Space Shooter by Sexy Socialist
Gorgeous, challenging yet rewarding, unique & exciting gameplay with great optimization & few technical issues. As to be expected with early access games, there are minor issues such as long title menu loading and occasional frame rate drops. Everspace as it is now, an unfinished game still in the works, has alot of great content and performs very well, and in my opinion justifies the price as is and will be improved upon further as time passes until full release slated for Q1 2017.

Absolutely Fantastic! by BlamesLuck
great controls, though it took me a minute to get the hang of them, graphics are great for those of you that care for that, very challenging (you will die... alot) but its part of the game so enjoy it dont get mad at it, the only downside and it isn't a dislike is that its in preview so not much there yet however it could potentially be just a fraction of what is to come. we shall see, untill then i highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys space related travel/ dogfights and high difficulty.

a hidden gem! by RedBeard nj
this is the best looking space graphics ive seen on console to date, i mean some levels are just breathtaking! and they are random generated so your always getting something new to look at. since preview, ive waited for the full release and im enjoying alot. the ship controls are super tight&responsive, no floaty drifting(unless your ship is badly damaged). the game is more arcade shooter than space simulator so its alot of fun to play in small or large amounts. busy day?u can jump on and play 30 minutes and feel satisfied. great game, it really needs more awareness so more can enjoy it.

I'm not sayin' it was aliens... but it was aliens. by A35TH3T1C5
Fast paced aerial combat, stunning vistas, fluid controls, sub par voice acting, small sections but visuals give a false sense of freedom and open world but it doesnt take away from the experience. Enjoyable and addicting two features a game needs most.

Promising by MightyWeasel
This game has beautiful graphics, a fun concept, and you can definitely see how far the procedurally generated stuff could go as the game is improved. However, the trial period could stand to be longer because there's a steep learning curve, its over just as you figure out what's going on. Also, the HUD is cluttered and confusing, by the time you figure out where you're being shot from, there's a decent chance your shields are already down. The game doesn't do a great job of helping you identify the things on screen you need to be focusing on, there's little difference between a threat too far away to be a problem, and one that's on top of you. There doesn't seem to be any way to know if you're in an enemy's weapons range, how fast they're going, or if you can outrun them. In its current form, I don't think this preview is worth the $30, but I can definitely see where the final game has the potential to demand triple-A retail prices.

Pretty good! by Ciryes
The fighting is extremely enjoyable and satisfying. The weapons were pretty diverse and were nice to use. This game reminds a lot of FTL and rogue legacy which I think are good things. I can see this game lasting me a few, enjoyable, hundred hours when more content is added.
