AroundMe

When I switched from iPhone to a WP8 Lumia I was relieved to find AroundMe. I loved it on iPhone and it's even better on Windows Phone. I find that other similar apps, including the built-in Bing version, don't return an accurate list of results. AroundMe does. The only improvement I would really like to see is on the Categories page. I know it doesn't take much effort to scroll to the bottom of the page every time I want to search for a restaurant, but it would be nice if I had the ability to order the categories in a way that would be most useful to me. I would like to be able to rearrange them according to my current need. If I'm on a trip, hotels, gas stations and taxi might be nice to have first, but generally I don't use search for those. At home it's restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. Still, it's the best of it's kind. Thanks.

I really enjoyed this app on my iPhone. I wish they would have taken the time to make a solid app for windows phone. Half finished apps like these make me want to never use anything made by this company again. The info is out of date,GPS is always off a little, and you cannot erase your searches. Pretty useless to download. No support either...there has not been an update this year at all

It's ok at best. Many locations missing in my area. Gives an idea of what's around but incomplete listing. Shows all the fast food but missed 3 out of 5 sit down places.

Lame. Has a large percentage of inaccurate locations listed.

Excellent. My only wish list is to allow a little further distance

Good app but data is old. One restaurant closed 5 years ago.

It's good for what it is; it shows me what's, well, around me; but the info on each place is quite limited. No ratings, no affordability category... This app is fine -- no, good -- for what it is, but I recommend Foursquare or Yelp for more detailed information about places.
