Zinio Windows 8 ap - TERRIBLE by Paul

Zinio has managed to take a mediocre program to new lows. The latest version absolutely sucks. Can't get to most of my magazines and is totally non-intuitive. I've used this service for years and now I'm totally done with it despite the massive investment in magazines that can only be read on their program. Anybody thinking about using this app should think again. It will sell you all the magazines you want, but can't display half of them and refuses to allow you to download to any mobile devices what it thinks may be objectionable. Previous versions worked well with windows 8, but this version is absolutely TERRIBLE and has prompted me to eliminate ALL of my automatic renewals and ultimately terminate all zinio subscriptions.

    Bad app by JERRY

it doesn't work like it says. can't get to the library, no product updates. The app commands give you slim to none of any kind of options. The old zinio was a lot better at least it work. Too bad I like the magazines that were stupid enough to use it!! Well a month later, still no changes. Too bad the magazines that people enjoy were buffaloed by a product that doesn't do what it says.

Causes high CPU usage on my surface pro 4, >50% by Ou

It causes about 50% CPU usage, and makes the fan runs like crazy on my surface pro 4. Waited several month, the bug is still there. Update: it's been almost a year, and the problem is still not fixed, Great! Uninstall...

Zinio the biscuit edition (light & flakey) by Jason

Doesn't store locally or if it does it's inconsistent. Was going on a multi hour train ride and thought it would be a great time to read. I downloaded a few magazines but when I was on the train with no internet connection they didn't load up. A few screens loaded but not enough to read an article. I made sure to download these fully before I left. iPad and Android apps are a billion times better than this.

Pages flip Backwards Spontaneously by Betsy

I've been a Zinio member for over 10 years. Having just acquired Windows 10, I installed the Reader. It is buggy to say the least with pages flipping uncontrollably (backwards at that). I can't view my many magazines alphabetically and by date - they only appear to take up a great deal of real estate onscreen in their own order. It feels like the first intro of an app that hasn't been thought out well at all. Extremely disappointed. Works well on Windows 7, Mac & iPad. Here? it is just not worth it.

    Needs updating by George

This app is long past due for update. Its rather sad that we have subscribed to magazines and this vendor doesnt keep their app (the main way for users to read what they pay for) up to date on all platforms. The android and ios counter parts get regular updates... the windows install base is left to suffer. This app makes reading your magazines basically impossible.

Come on guys! - Test your Apps by Mark

I have been a long subscriber / user of Zinio. I am using WIndows 8.1 pro on both a laptop and a Surface Pro. App will not work on either device since I cannot enter my password. App accepts userid but will not even enable an entry into the password field. Permits a "focus" on password field but does not allow entry.

Does anyone at Zinio actually USE this? by Denny

The app's nearly unmanageable with large amounts of magazines in your collection. And as Jason's review points out, it's inconsistent on what it downloads. And the labeling of issues is bad. Overall, it's a great service that's being hampered on Windows by a really bad UI. Please, Zinio, have an exec use your service offline on a Surface Pro 3 for a week. Then make this better.
